So here's the scoop..
I was born 24 years ago to Sgt. Arnold James Harper and Winnifred Ivory Harper. It doesn't seem like a big deal to most people that a child was born, but I was someting out of the ordinary. You see, my mother and father were told, that my mother could never conceive a child. a year and half later god blessed them with a gift,which was of course me. Ever since then I was called "The Miracle Baby". I am the only child, It's not that they didn't want to try to have more kids, its the fact that after having me, mom had to have a hysterectomy.
Due to hard times and little money Dad joined the army to save the family. Growing up was rough.. Since my Father was a Sargent in the Military we moved from Army Base to Army Base. Keeping friends was as easy as catching a firefly, it staying alive in a jar, with no air supply for 3 days. I think the longest we lived in one place was 2 years..otherwise it was anywhere from 2 months to 6 months. Those 2 years were the best! We thought we would become permanent residents in Virginia but Texas called and Fort Sam Houstin needed us more then Fort Eustis did so off we went. We stayed in Texas until daddy retired and then Mom and I got to choose where we wanted to live. Which of course was where home really was California, San Fran. to be exact. It's where my parents grew up and I was born. Though it wasn't very familiar to me since we didn't live there long after I was born, But it was home!
Currently I own and run a cake and cookie shop. I make and decorate all types of cakes and cookies. Baking was always a passion mom and I shared growing up. Mom also helps out in the shop (she makes some amazing cakes) Sundays the shop is closed, Coming from a religious family we attend church regularly. But you can call in your orders *wink wink* I'm a work-o-holic and i'm not afraid to admit it! These days Daddy spends most of his free time golfing with his veteran buddies and tasting mine and moms cakes. Here are a few random facts about me: - I'm shy around new people (outside of work)..
- My favorite colors are pink and green
- I sing loud in my car, but when I pull up to another car I hum the song...
- I can sing just fine infront of people in church.
- My second toe is longer then my first
- I can be very random
My heart and tears will contiune to pour out, for I have loved and lost.
